Current Workshops: (Starting 6/1)
Beginning/Intermediate Fiction (8 weeks, $175)
In this 8-week workshop, we will cover the many craft topics common to fiction, memoir and creative nonfiction. We will look at structure, setting, tension, detail, character, and sentences. We will unpack the mystery of “show, don’t tell” using student stories as a means to better understand craft. Participants may share work-in-progress or write something new. This supportive environment is perfect for people new to the writing workshop.
Advanced Fiction (8 weeks, $175)
This 8-week workshop will give each participant in-depth critiques of 2-3 short stories or novel chapters. In addition to traditional workshop, each session will include facilitated craft conversations among peers at an advanced level. This workshop is appropriate for those with previous experience in the workshop setting. A writing sample is required for admission.
